Political insiders say its no surprise that Hawaii Governor Neil Abercrombie denied Senator Daniel Inouye his dying wish. Inouye wanted his protege Rep Colleen Hanabusa to be named his successor after his death. But the Governor picked his Lt Governor Brian Schatz to succeed Inouye.
Inouye and Abercrombie have been at odds. In fact, Inouye encouraged a primary challenge to Abercrombie in the 2010 election, reports Politico
