As the Daily News reported yesterday, NBC is trying to get Ann Curry and Matt Lauer to have a very public lunch together in an effort to repair Lauer’s reputation and popularity.
The Today host took a major hit when audience members blamed Lauer for Curry’s ouster from hosting duties on Today.
Wrote one fan: Matt Lauer didn’t want to sit with Ann Curry on the Today show !; Why would she want to sit with him at a lunch table ?- All Lauer cares about is his 25 Million a year salary, for doing nothing!
