Asian Week: PG&E Promotes Asian American to Vice President

PG&E Travis KiyotaPacific Gas & Electric Company announced that its Board of Directors has elected Travis Kiyota as Vice President of Corporate Affairs, reports Asian Week.

Kiyota will oversee four regional corporate affairs teams working with local government officials and agencies. He joined PG&E in 2000 and is being promoted to the company’s Senior Director, Local Government Relations. He has worked for 20 years in the area for government affairs in both the public and private sectors. He is a graduate of UCLA.

He will directly report to Greg S. Pruett, Senior Vice President, Corporate Affair. Among the biggest challenges that will face Kiyota is dealing with the continuing regulatory aftermath of the San Bruno gas line explosion in 2010 that left 8 people dead and devastated a neighborhood.
