Police today found the burned out pick up truck belonging to a man suspected in the killing of a Riverside Police officer and the murders over the weekend of an Asian American basketball star and her fiance, reported KABC.
The suspect is former Los Angeles Police Office Christopher Jordan Dorner who wrote in a manifesto that he would kill police officers and also admitted to last weekend’s double murder in Irvine of Monica Quan and her fiance Keith Lawrence. Quan is a former high school basketball star and an assistant basketball coach at Cal State Fullerton.
Quan’s father, Randal Quan, was himself a police captain in the Los Angeles Police Department and later became an attorney. Police believe Donner killed Monica as an act of revenge against her father, who represented Donner in a personnel case which Donner lost. Donner was later fired by the LAPD.
Part of the manhunt is focused on the Big Bear area of Riverside County where Donner’s pick up truck was found.
