The office of State Senator Leland Yee (D-San Francisco) is confirming a threat has been made against the Senator’s life. Police arrested 45-year-old Everett Basham, a man who one time worked directly with Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak. A search warrant was served on Basham’s home by the Highway Patrol. KGO-TV reports officers found a concealed gun, explosive materials and unknown chemicals that they disposed of on the front lawn late Tuesday night, causing a blast that shook the neighborhood around Humbolt Avenue and Moraga Street.
You can see video of that blast on KGO-TV. State Senator Leland Yee is expected to hold a news conference today. The threat is suspected of being connected to the Senator’s support for gun control.
