The Board of Regents of the University of Hawaii have voted to name four UH programs or facilities in honor of the late Senator Daniel Inouye, reported KHON. The four are the The Daniel K. Inouye Center for Microbial Oceanography at UH Manoa, Daniel K. Inouye College of Pharmacy at UH Hilo, The Daniel K. Inouye Allied Health Center at UH Maui College, and the Daniel K. Inouye Electronics Technology Building at Kauai Community College.
“Today’s board action gives us the opportunity to thank Senator Inouye and to emphasize the many things he helped us accomplish and the many things he has inspired us to accomplish in the future,” UH President M.R.C. Greenwood said.
