A new Gallup Poll confirms what the November election and an exit poll by the Asian American Legal Defense and Education Fund already told us, Asian American voters lean democratic by a wide margin.
57 percent identify or lean democratic, 28 percent say the same about republicans and 13 percent consider themselves pure independents. The survey found younger Asian Americans identify stronger than older Asian Americans. This is significant since 56 percent of Asian Americans are between the ages if 18 and 35.
The tracking survey taken throughout 2012 included interviews with 6,465 Asian Americans. It did not break out the results by the various Asian subgroups.
But you can find the numbers broken out by age group and an analysis of what these results mean in the Gallup Poll.
