A truck sideswiped a SUV carrying Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal Sunday afternoon in Baton Rouge.
Authorities say the truck made an illegal u-turn in front of the Governor’s truck, hitting it, reports the Times Picayune
The Governor was unharmed, but a State Trooper following the Governor sustained minor injuries.
The Trooper swerved to avoid hitting the Governor’s truck, but hit a utility pole.
“(The governor) is thankful for the work of the Louisiana State Police who keep him and his family safe every day,” Jindal spokesman Kyle Plotkin said in an email statement.
The Times Picayune reports the driver of the truck was cited for an improper turn.
