Quite a number of performers from the Philippines have gone on to receive international acclaim and stardom.
Day News highlighted the careers of several of them. They range from Lea Salonga of Broadway and Disney fame to Charice, the little woman with the big voice, to Arnel Pineda (pictured here) who was discovered on You Tube and succeeded Steve Perry as lead singer of Journey. and finally Jocelyn Enriquez who had several hits in the 1990s and 2000’s.
