Tired of all the negative publicity surrounding the Today Show, Radar is reporting that NBC executives are now casting a suspicious eye toward Ann Curry as the source of a tell all book, Top of the Morning: Inside the Cutthroat World of Morning TV.
“Ann had a lot of respect among the crew of TODAY, even almost a year later. However, since (Brian) Stelter’s book release last week, that goodwill is coming to an end. There is just so much negativity geared towards Matt and the bosses at NBC, that only a few people knew about, Ann included. Who would have the motivation to reveal such damaging information? Ann and/or her friends and allies,” a show insider told Radar.
Kathie Lee Gifford, the host of Today’s fourth hour, recently gathered hundreds of signatures from Today staffers expressing their support for Matt Lauer. Missing among the signatures was Ann Curry, who Gifford said was out of town on assignment and not available to sign.
