The San Gabriel Valley is the new home of Asian American internet sensations, the Fung Brothers, reports the LA Weekly.
The pair’s video 626, named after the Valley’s area code, has generated a half million views on You Tube. They have their own show on You Tube’s the Hungry Channel.
The brothers who are two years apart began rapping in high school as a way to deal with their minority status.
Rap is all about who you are and where you’re from,” David says. “That’s when we started talking about being Asian.”
