ABS CBN is reporting that international songstress Charice came out to her mom three years ago when she was 18.
This is surprising since there have been many reports about a rift that had developed recently between the singer and mom Raquel Pempengco.
The paper did not say how her mother reacted to the news. Perhaps the falling out was over Charice’s new boyish looks and her tattoo. Charice revealed that cutting her hair was the first steps towards her freedom.
She also said she felt she could be gay since age 5. That’s also surprising. Do most 5 -year-olds even know about gays, not to mention their own sexual preference? Would be interested in hearing the experience of gay readers on that.
Fans continue to overwhelmingly support Charice and her coming out announcement to on the TV show the Buzz on ABS CBN in the Philippines.
Charice wasn’t quite sure how fans would react and is quite pleased.
