The Filipino American shot and killed by a police officer at a Costco in Virginia is expected to be repatriated back to the Philippines this week, according to GMA.
Results of an investigation into the death of Mylene de Leon-Scott have not been released. But members of the Filipino American community have expressed concern police use disproportionate force in the shooting.
The Philippine embassy expressed hope the results of the investigation would be released soon. It also promised de Leon-Scott’s family it would assist in getting the body back to the Philippines.
Ambassador Jose Cuisia Jr. paid his respects to de Leon-Scott Saturday.
