President Obama met with Indian American leaders during a recent visit to Chicago and discussed immigration reform, reports Indo Link.
30 Indian American community leaders and other had the opportunity to ask Mr. Obama questions during a private reception held at Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee dinner. President Obama predicted immigration reform would pass within two months with the support of both Democrats and Republicans.
Among the Indian Americans in attendance were Balwinder Singh, a community activist, Iftekhar Shareef, Trustee-Chairman, Federation of Indian Associations, Vinesh Viirani of Art of Living, Sunil Shah, founder President of newly set up FIA, Jagmohan Jiyara and Sunil Puri, both front ranking businessmen.
