This one is hard to figure out. The Atlantic Black Star reports that comedian Deon Cole recently exposed a young South Asian woman who uses the ‘N” word to teach kids numbers.
The song is titled “10 Little N******. It’s hard to believe such a song even exists. According to Wikipedia, the song is a British nursery rhyme. It’s titled was eventually changed to “10 Little Indians, ” according to Wikipedia. The original song title was also the title of a detective novel by Agatha Christie. The name of the book was eventually changed to “Then There Were None.”
A search of Google images reveals the woman singing the song is Preeti Sagar. She has a number of nursery rhyme songs on You Tube, all of which appear to have been uploaded in the past few years. It’s not known when the songs were actually produced. It’s possible these songs, including the “N” word song were produced years ago. I found two uploads of “10 Little N******” on You Tube, but both were blocked on copyright grounds. The songs were not uploaded by Sagar, but by others.
Despite the sensitive nature of the topic, comedian Cole manages to have fun with it while getting his point across.
