Sanjay and Craig, an animated series starring Indian American actor Maulik Pancholy as a 12-year old boy who befriends a smooth talking snake has been renewed for a second season by Nickelodeon, reports India West.
The network describes the series as the number 1 new cartoon of the year among all kid demographics. Nickelodeon says the show averages 3 million viewers.
“The series will continue with more punk rock idiocy, chicken wing lunacy and snake-phobic neighbor insanity,” said a spokesperson. “There’s no telling what will be left of the universe after they slash and burn their way through another season of epic episodes.”
