Asian and Pacific Islander leaders say they will join hundreds of others tomorrow in an act of civil disobedience in Washington, D.C. in support of immigration reform.
Gregory Cendana, Executive Director of the of the Asian Pacific American Labor Alliance (APALA) wrote in the Huffington Post that he and other AAPIs will risk arrest to make their point.
“We cannot afford to wait any longer for comprehensive immigration reform,” he wrote. “Millions of Americans wait to be reunited with their families and finally live beyond the shadows.”
Breitbart reported earlier this week that organizers are looking for as many as 200 people to volunteer to get arrested at the rally.
