Jeremy Lin and the Houston Rockets return to the Madison Square Garden for a showdown Thursday night against the New York Knicks, reports Newsday.
Lin will be coming off his two best games as a Houston Rockets. He scored 34 points tonight, shooting a phenomenal 9 of 15 from behind the three point line in an overtime loss to the Philadelphia 76ers, 123 to 117.
Just two nights ago, he scored 31 points in a double overtime victory against the Toronto Raptors, 110 to 104.
Madison Square Garden, of course, is where Linsanity was born, and some say, also died.
On Thursday, he’ll play against the team that decided not to sign him and let him go to the Houston Rockets.
But Lin is downplaying his return.
“Obviously I have so many great memories there and will cherish it forever, but it’s just basketball. A lot of the attention will be on James [Harden] and Dwight [Howard], them coming to the Garden.”
