Records obtained by the Daily News document how the story of undercover cop Wojciech Braszczok about his involvement in the beating of Alexian Lien changed over time after his initial interrogation with investigators.
The New York police officer told investigators on September 29, “I didn’t take police action because I didn’t have my gun or my shield on me.”
On October 1 he told them he didn’t stop the attack because he wasn’t present at the time of the beating.
Then the next day, the Daily News reports him saying “I saw one of the bikers reach and try to open the car,” but he said the vehicle took off before he could do anything.
Prosecutors now say video evidence shows Braszczok kicked the door and describe him as an “active participant” in the beating.
Braszczok has plead not guilty in the attack.
