Colorlines reports that the Arizona ban on ethnic studies has been appealed to the 9th US Circuit Court of Appeals.
Students and parents filed an appeal alleging the ban violates both the first amendment of free speech and 14th amendments which prohibits the ban on life, liberty and property without legislative authority.
Supporters of the ban call ethnic studies racist and claim it only succeeds in building resentment against whites.
