The Chinese classic The Art of War may be coming to television, reports Asian Fortune.
Executive producer Michael Shane is putting together an international production involving three countries–China, Japan & the United States and hopes to produce an epic television series for Western audiences.
“I was doing research to see if the story has ever been told in the West and to my shock, it has never been done here or in Europe, not as a feature film or a TV series,” said Shane, who executive produced Catch Me If You Can and I, Robot.
The Art of War by Sun Tzu will focus on Tzu’s life and the people around him.
Not only does Shane hope to broadcast The Art of War on television, but he hopes to use it as an educational tool in 4,000 schools.
