Director Justin Lin of Fast & Furious fame wrote a piece for Time and fondly remembered his last moments with Paul Walker on the set of the hit franchise movie.
Walker died in a fiery car accident with business partner Roger Rodas in Santa Clarita while attending a charity function Saturday.
Lin says he was exhausted. He knew the last shots he got for Fast & Furious 6 would be the last thing he ever did with the hit movie series and he was pushing hard.
“As we ran out of light on the last shot, I threw my headphones down in frustration and walked off to collect myself,” wrote Lin. “I was beyond spent. Next thing I knew, there were two arms hugging me. It was Paul. He said, “Thank you” and walked off. That was the last moment I had with Paul on set and it’s what Paul was all about.”
