The amazing acrobatic displays of break dancers from around the world will be showcased this weekend at the annual Reign Supreme competition in Seattle.
Reign Supreme is an international break dancing competition that offers the chance at dance glory and up to $2,500 in cash prizes to dancers and dance crews from around the world. The competition was started by a break dancer known as “Mikeskee” — a.k.a. Michael Huang, a Taiwanese American who says the street dance style is not only popular among Asian Americans but throughout Asia as well.
“Dance has allowed me to immerse myself in Taiwanese society and learn about my heritage,” Huang said.

Reign Supreme will take place this Saturday, Dec. 7, at 4:30 p.m., in the University of Washington HUB Ballroom. Admission is $10 with UW ID, $12 in advance, and $15 at the door.
