The Silicon Valley Business Journal has named Campbell, CA Mayor Ed Low to its 40 under 40 list.
Low has a number of firsts attached to his name.
A San Jose native, Low became the first Asian American council member in Campbell in 2006 and within three years became its first AAPI mayor at the age of 26.
He also happens to be the youngest openly gay mayor.
He was elected to a second term in 2013. He is running for the California State Assembly in 2014.
Low says his favorite perk of the job is being stopped on the street and being told he is doing a good job.
