Filipino American composer Bobby Lopez and his wife Kristen Anderson enjoyed the Golden Globes Sunday night despite not winning in the category of Best Original Song, reports Broadway World.
The couple received the nomination for their song Let It Go from the hit Disney animated musical, Frozen.
“It’s incredible, I know that there aren’t that many Filipino American composers out there,” said Lopez. “But I know there’s a lot of them who are talented enough to be. For them who’d see me and Kristen and realize that they can do it too, that would mean a lot to me.” He called the whole experience “so much fun.”
Lopez is a three time Tony winner who’s won in the category of best original score for Avenue Q and Book of Mormons and also best book for a musical for Book of Mormons.
