An emotional Jackie Chan has reportedly said he is half South Korean, reports ECNS which quoted Taiwan media.
Chan made the remarks while in South Korea promoting his new movie, Police Story 2013.
He credited South Korea for helping him get through one of the hardest periods of his life.
It’s unclear whether Chan meant he felt close to the country or that he has South Korean blood in him.
Nonetheless, the remark has upset some fans in China who feel he made the comment to boost his box office in South Korea.
The Hong Kong born star speaks some Korean and has a chain of sushi restaurant in South Korea
