The Raw Post is reporting that an elderly Chinese man was beaten by police after his arrest for jaywalking. 84-year old Kang Wong was ordered to stop by police as he crossed the street against the light. But witnesses say Wong didn’t appear to understand what the officer was saying. When the office physically attempted to stop Wong, he pushed back.
Other officers quickly arrived.
Video shows Wong was left cut and bloodied and had to be hospitalized.
You can read statement from a witness and from Wong’s son in the Raw Post.
