A former researcher at the University of Illinois College of Medicine has sued the University for bias, reports India West.
Jasti Rao resigned from the school last March.
It wasn’t until he filed a discrimination suit that he learned the University had launched an investigation against him for ethical misconduct.
Rao charges similar allegations against non-Indian American researchers have not been investigated.
The University which is located in Peoria, Illinois said it could not comment on an ongoing personnel matter.
Rao gained fame for his cancer research.
