The Epoch Times reports that the Mindy Project starring comedian, writer, producer and author Mindy Kaling could be cancelled and not return for a third season.
Predictions from TV By the Numbers which boasts a 90 percent accuracy rate says the show is a toss up between being renewed and cancelled.
Kaling has been successful in generating a lot of ink about herself and the program, but the ratings have just been so so.
“I love the show. I think the creativity of it … it’s really on the money right now,” Fox Entertainment chairman Kevin Reilly said. “Again, glass half-full, glass half-empty: The ratings are for us not where I wish they would be. I think the show deserves to have more viewers.”
