The Smithsonian tonight celebrated the opening of its first in-depth exhibition into the Indian American experience, reports Blue MauMau
Beyond Bollywood: Indian Americans Shape the Nation will be at the Smithsonian’s National Museum of Natural History for the next two years before embarking on a five year nationwide tour.
“Through artwork, historical artifacts, and more, this exhibition tells the story of Indian Americans pursuing and achieving the American Dream,” said Mehul Patel, chairman of the Asian American Hotel Owners Association which is sponsoring the exhibition.
