If there was any doubt left that the New York Knicks made a mistake not resigning Jeremy Lin two years ago, it was decided this week(photo by Whos the Bet).
Raymond Felton, the point guard the Knicks chose over Lin, was arrested on Monday and accused of threatening his own wife with a gun, reports the International Business Times.
Lin is averaging 14 points a game coming off the bench versus Felton’s ten points a game as a starter.
Felton has also been the target of Knicks fans frustrated at the team’s lackluster play.
“That decision looked terrible at the time. And it looks so much worse now, with Lin continuing to develop and contribute for a Houston Rockets team in the title hunt in the Western Conference, and struggling Felton now facing felony gun charges that could short-circuit a season in which he’d been just awful,” said Sports on Earth writer Howard Megdal.
