NY Daily News: Two sentenced for grade tampering at Purdue

Purdue UniversityPurdue University graduate student Roy Sun will serve 90 days in prison and four years of probation for hacking into a professor’s computer and changing his grades, reports the
NY Daily News (Photo byekirchubel1).

Sun admitted in court that he became cocky after he changed his grade the first time in 2008 and didn’t get caught.

“When I came back in 2009, I felt really arrogant. I thought I was untouchable,” he said.

Sujay Sharma, who served as a lookout while Sun tampered with the professor’s computer, received three years probation.

A third suspect, Mitsutoashi Shirasaki, has fled to Japan.
