The demographic shift in the United States may be best reflected in public schools.
New information from the National Center for Education Statistics and reported in the Huffington Post finds the population of Asian American and Pacific Islander students will increase 23 percent by 2022.
The Hispanic population will see an incredible spike of 64 percent.
The statistics are based on the number of students expected to graduate when compared to the 2010-11 school year.
White students graduating are expected to see a decrease of 16 percent, blacks 14 percent and Native Americans and Alaska Native students will see a drop of 29 percent.
How will these changes in demographics be reflected in funding and policy shifts? What areas of the country will see the biggest change? You can read more about that in the Huffington Post.
