The Asian American filmmaker behind the mega-You Tube movie hit Video Game High School has signed a deal with Lions Gate to create videos for films, TV and online viewing, reports CBS.
Freddie Wong along with his Rocketjump co-founders gained fame when Video Game High School generated 40 million views in just three months.]
Wong also starred in many of the shorts. Lions Gate is the studio behind such blockbusters as The Hunger Games and Divergent.
It’s just another sign of the growing influence of You Tube in the entertainment industry.
