Actor Sung Kang could have been a baseball player instead of a stud on the big screen.
Kore-Am did a wonderful cover story of the Korean American actor best known as Han in the Fast & Furious flicks and now a regular in Fox’s new series, Gang Related.
The 6’1″ Kang recalls his childhood dream.
“I was a pitcher,” he says. “That’s all I wanted to do for as long as I can remember.”
But that was back in the day before such Asian players as Hyun-Jin Ryu of the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Texas Rangers’ Shin-Soo Choo.
“Son, there are no Orientals in the league,” his coach told him. “Just have a good time.”
It wasn’t long after that that Kang quit.
So how did he end up in acting? You can read all about that in Kore-Am .
