Bruno Mars gave a special concert for an 11-year old Cleveland girl who credits the pop star’s music for saving her life, reports WKYC.
Zumyah Thorpe suffered a severe brain injury after a drunk driver slammed into her mother’s car, killing her pregnant mother and two young sisters.
“No one can really understand what we’ve gone through when you see a child that’s in a coma and unable to walk, talk,” recalled Zumyah’s grandmother Ronda. “When she actually wakes up and is able to speak the first thing she does is sing the one Bruno song which is ‘I’m Amazing'(Just The Way You Are).”
Nurses played Bruno Mar’s music every night for her and Zumyah always responded positively.
When Bruno heard about the young girl’s story, he was touched and invited her in for a special concert.
