The Asian American Journalists Association called out Fox News for some “inflammatory statements” made by its host Andrea Tantaros about the beheading of an American journalists.
AAJA called the killing of photojournalist James Foley “disturbing, appalling, monstrous,” but it cautioned against using a “barbaric act of a terrorist group” to “condemn and to smear an entire faith.”
“They’ve been doing this for hundreds and hundreds of years if you study the history of Islam,” Tantaros said on Fox’s “Outnumbered” segment August 20. “You can’t solve it with a dialogue. You can’t solve it with a summit,” she said. “You solve it with a bullet to the head. It’s the only thing these people understand.”
AAJA attempted to reach out to Fox for comment, but the network did not respond.
Apparently the so called “fair and balanced” network is only interested in having a dialogue in an echo chamber with like minded people.
