Deadline reports that Daniel Dae Kim will executive produce a new medical drama based on the South Korean television show Good Doctor.
The program will be the first project from a development deal the Hawaii Five-0 and Lost co-star and his production company 3AD signed with the network last fall.
Malaysian- born Adele Lim will pen the series. Lim served as co-showrunner for CW’s Starcrossed and has also worked on Private Practice, One Tree Hill and Reign.
Good Doctor features a brilliant doctor with Aspergers who uses his special gift to solve complex cases. The American version has yet to be titled.
