He designed clothes for dolls for ten years many years ago. Now after being catapulted to fame by Michelle Obama selection of a Wu original for both of her inaugural gowns, Jason Wu designs in his nook for real women with his favorite pen, the Uni-ball.
Wu’s third studio in New York is now over 10,000 square feet, but his favorite place to retreat is his personal nook comprised of a just vintage wood desk and two chairs. A wall of books and thank you notes can be seen gracing the walls.
Vanessa Friedman of the New York Times, interviewed Wu on what inspires him and gives you a glimpse of his studio’s surroundings.
