Having spent much of her post High School Musical career shedding her goodie two shoes Disney image, Vanessa Hudgens will take to the stage to star as Gigi in a story of a young French girl’s coming of age, reports the Los Angeles Times.
“So excited to play Gigi on Broadway,” Hudgens tweeted. The show will get a four week run at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington before moving to Broadway later in 2015.
This will be Hudgen’s premier on Broadway, although she’s played Mimi in the Hollywood Bowl’s production of Rent in 2010.
