Two exhibitions on Asian American history have opened at the Idaho Museum of Natural History in Pocatello, reports the Idaho States Journal.
I Want the Wide American Earth: An Asian Pacific American Story is now at the Idaho Museum of Natural History (IMNH), for a two month run through November 30. The exhibition is a traveling show from the Smithsonian Asian Pacific American Center and features stories of the first Asian immigrants to the present day.
A companion exhibition Hidden Histories: Stories of Asian Pacific Americans in Idaho will run through Summer 2015, Information about the two Idaho incarceration camps during World War II along with the story of how Asian Pacific Americans influenced Idaho history will be presented.
