The Examiner: Tour Company Apologizes for Racist Rant. Mayor Lee Not Satisfied

City SightseeingCity Sightseeing has been identified as the tour company that employed the racist guide who went on a f-bomb laden tirade about San Francisco Chinatown, reports The Examiner.

The video has gone viral on You Tube and has received media coverage nationally.

“I deeply apologize to the residents of Chinatown and San Francisco, for the conduct of a former employee.” said CEO Christian Watts.  “Comments made by this former employee on her last day of employment are absolutely not a representation of how much we love and support Chinatown, and every other community in San Francisco. Due to this unfortunate incident, we have added additional training processes to ensure that each tour is up to our rigorous standard.”

San Francisco Mayor Ed Lee expressed dissatisfaction with the company’s response.

“There’s no way they can just say, ‘Sorry,'” he said. “They have to demonstrate that they have to train their employees better.”

You can watch a video report and speculation about what the tour guide might have been drinking during the rant in The Examiner.
