More Asian American women are getting action roles which were once the exclusive domain of men.
ABS CBN caught up with two such women, Ming Na Wen (right) who plays Melinda May in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. on ABC and Kelly Hu (left) who plays China White on the CW’s Aarow.
“That’s what life is about, said Wen. “Just always wonderful surprises.”
At age 51, its not something she ever expected to do. But she’s doing it well.
Over on the CW, Hu marvel’s at the opportunities she’s had over her career.
“I’ve gotten to do all kinds of things,” said Hu. “All kinds of fun roles. Comedies, dramas. I’ve played super heroes, villains.”
