Jeremy Lin can’t seem to get over the hump(photo by Derral Chen).
The OC Register reports Lin’s season has been filled with ups and downs. A 21 point game is followed by a poor game.
His last game was a strong double double in a loss to the Phoenix Sun. Hopefully he can duplicate that strong effort against the New Orlean Pelicans tonight.
The story line of late is an impatient coach Byron Scott expressing frustration that his point guard hasn’t been able to play better or Kobe Bryant getting after Lin for not being aggressive enough.
It’s the kind of scrutiny a $14.9 million contract will bring a player. Many are openly questioning whether Lin will even be with the Lakers next season given that he’s at the end of his contract.
The Lakers season may be over in terms of making the playoffs, but Lin is playing for his career and his future. Where he ends up and the value of his next contract will depend on it.
