It’s all but official, according to a blog in Sportige.
The Lakers are tanking in an obvious move to get a better draft pick.
Coach Byron Scott continued the pattern of removing Jeremy Lin from the game in key moments to lessen the chance the Lakers might actually win a game.
This time Scott pulled Lin out with four minutes left in a game that would eventually go into overtime against the Orlando Magic.
Scott would get his not so secret wish. The Lakers would lose 103 – 97.
Before being yanked, Lin was actually having a good game. He was shooting six for eight from the field for 14 points in 22 minutes.
Lin isn’t the only player suffering because of the Lakers “youth movement.” Carlos Boozer played only 18 minutes and Nick Young 16.
So what’s Lin’s best hope as the season winds down and he inches closer to becoming a free agent? You can read about that in Sportige.
May be the Knicks or Nets will get him next year….got my fingers crossed.
