Megan Hughes who was born Eun-Sook was taken from her alcoholic father and adopoted as a young child.
Holly Hoyle O’Brien who was known back then as Pok-nam Shin was adopted five years later after her father died.
The Metro reports that both ended up in Florida and both happened to get jobs at a Sarasota, Florida hospital.
The two became friends not knowing they were sisters. After sharing each others stories and noticing the similarities, they took a DNA test which confirmed they were half sisters.
‘I’m like, this can’t be. I was trembling, I was so excited. I was ecstatic,’ said Holly.
‘When I heard from Holly, my first reaction was like “oh my god”. I was in shock, I was numb. I have a sister.’
