Muslim beauty vlogger Nabela Noor asked a pointed question about racial and religious hatred in America at the GOP debate.
Noor was one of three bloggers invited by Google and Fox News to participate in Thursday’s televised debate.
“I’m Nabela Noor. I’m a Muslim American born and raised in the U.S., who creates beauty and lifestyle videos on YouTube. In 2015, the number of hate crimes against Muslims in the U.S. has tripled, and on social media, where I spend a lot of time, I’ve seen many attacks directed towards fellow Muslims. This culture of hatred is only driving ISIS to radicalize, recruit and incite violence. As president, what would you do to address this toxic climate and promote increased tolerance in the United States?”
You can watch Jeb Bush’s response in the video below.
Noor’s lifestyle channel on You Tube has 7.4 million views and 150,000 subscribers.
Governor Bush sounds a little scripted but I appreciated how he recognized Ms. Noor as an entrepreneur. He moved into a
'favorable' zone with that response.
