CNN has obtained a list of dozens of text messages allegedly sent to and from Officer Jason Lai who resigned from the force earlier this month.
One text reads “Indian people are disgusting.”
Another uses a shortened version of the N word.
I hate that beaner, but I think the n** is worse.
The texts used offensive language to describe gays, Mexicans, Blacks and Indians.
Lai’s attorney Don Nobles says the texts are “not reflective of who he is.”
Police Chief Greg Suhr says he has no tolerance for this sort of behavior and takes “swift and severe” action when it comes to his attention.
