Asian Americans in two cities are expressing growing concerns about armed robbers who are targeting their community.
In Philadelphia, an FBI task force is looking into a rash of robberies in the Northeast end of Philadelphia, reports ABC6.
“Within our community, everyone’s afraid because it just seems hopeless right now,” said Ivan Zhou, who’s father was followed inside his home by three gunman.
In Sacramento, nearly 100 people packed a recent city meeting to voice their concerns, according to ABC10.
“Making everybody so afraid of living in this area right now and don’t know what’s happening every night,” said Grace Lee of Sacramento.

In both Sacramento and Philadelphia, authorities are saying the same thing. The bad guys seem to be targeting limited English-speaking immigrants who may be fearful of going to authorities for help and speaking out.
But as we’re seeing in both communities, the victims and prospective victims are crying for help.
Authorities are urging residents to keep the exterior of their homes well lit.
Report suspicious activity and take down license plate numbers.
Don’t keep large sums of cash in your home.
