A Houston emergency dispatcher is suspected of hanging up on callers simply because she didn’t feel like talking.
Hua Li phoned to report he heard shots fired during a robbery at a local market.
He says the dispatcher hung up on him.
He called a second time, got the same dispatcher and again he said that dispatcher disconnected the call.
It was only after a third time that Li says police were dispatched.
Crenshanda Williams, 43, is facing two misdemeanor counts for hanging up on concerned callers, reports the Houston Chronicle.
She came under suspicion after records showed she handled thousands of dispatch calls which lasted less than 20 seconds.
